We Want to Build a Super Ecosystem, Not a Super App

In a webinar with stars Alumna Astri WAHYUNI of the Indonesian e-commerce giant Tokopedia, we talked about the challenges and opportunities of “democratizing commerce through technology” in an archipelago country made up of more than 17’000 islands. As consumers are shifting from offline to online during the Covid-19 pandemic, Tokopedia now provides free shipping all around Indonesia and offers smart warehouse services to their merchants so that they can continue to operate with minimal operating costs. Tokopedia’s ambition is not to become a super app, but to build a super ecosystem with all partners to deliver a better product for consumers and to promote tech innovation in Indonesia.
