About the speaker:
KV Rao is a senior business leader based in Singapore. He was the former Resident Director of Tata Sons, based in Singapore, and has held several board and business leadership positions, in his career spanning over 40 years. He is a Senior Accredited Director of Singapore Institute of Directors. He has significant international experience, covering over 40 countries, in the developed and emerging markets with a focus on Asia. His experience covers, consumer, industrial, and services sectors and includes a stint with the Singapore Civil Service. He currently serves as Chairman and Director of leading companies in Singapore and also Advisor – India to two large corporations in Singapore. He serves on a number of public bodies and industry platforms – the Board of Trustees for the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA), Vice Chairman of the South Asia Business Council of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), and as President of the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS). He was a former member of the Board of Advisors to Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry till Dec 2020, and Singapore Institute of International Affairs till 2024, and Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry India Business Forum (CII-IBF).
