One year into China’s 14th Five-Year-Plan – what does it mean for foreign business?
Markus HERRMANN, Managing Director, China Macro Group (CMG), Zurich, Switzerland
3 March 2022, 10.00-10.30 (CET)

China’s 14th Five-Year-Plan was endorsed by the National People’s Congress on 11th March 2021 against the backdrop of an unabating pandemic and geopolitical tensions. New concepts such as the “Dual Circulation” were enshrined prominently into this document and party ideologists had hailed the plan as the “biggest strategic shift” in China’s policymaking since the beginning of the reform and opening up period in the late 70s. What do we observe one year into the implementation of the plan? And what should be the themes and questions on the agenda of international companies active in China?
